List Search is a custom SharePoint 2013+ web part that allows content searching in lists and document libraries.
The List Search web part enables two methods of searching: Simple Search and Advanced Search.
- Simple Search will display a list of items containing the requested word (text-based columns for simple search).
- Advanced Search enables searching for list items by setting up to 5 advanced rules that the search will follow. (Other column types are supported in advanced)
The results will be displayed in the default selected list view table. The advanced search allows to select any view from the selected list views. You can also optionally limit the search to items in a selected (or default) view and only allow searching in columns present in view (in both Simple and Advanced modes).
If can also allow saving Advanced mode conditions for re-use. Every user can save conditions for his own use, administrators can also share their presets with all users.
You can also set your preset to be default. Whenever you access the page with List Search web part having a default preset, the search is executed automatically and items are displayed.
Optionally, the results are fetched using AJAX technology, thus not requiring page refreshes.
All items in results are display with the SharePoint context menu according to the user permissions.
