Fragments are reusable pieces of text and graphics that may be inserted within tabs. They can be used to implement graphic element, separators, instructions or general text within your form. Fragments are not control through column permissions and do not cause the tab to become visible when "Hide empty tabs" option is checked and the tab contains no columns or all columns of the tab are hidden.
When you create a new fragment, it is added to the selection of fragments for the list, but is not yet in use. To use a fragment, add it to the tab and then change its position between columns.
Fragments contain the following properties:
- Name - must be unique within the list. It is for internal use and is not shown to users
- Main content - use the integrated rich text editor to create the content of the fragment. You can include values from one or more list column.
- Spans full row - always show the fragment across the whole tab, even if the tab is configured to contain more than one layout column.
- Apply in forms - specify which list forms should the fragment be visible in. For instance, you might want to show instructions only in New form.
