Microsoft 365 and on-premises versions are similar in both the user interface and functionality. Nevertheless, due to the differences in the underlying technology, there are certain aspects that look and behave differently:
- Actions set to be execute manually cannot add buttons directly to the ribbon or context menu. Instead they are added to a pop-up page accessible through the Run Action ribbon and context menu button
- Run PowerShell action type is not available in Microsoft 365.
- Manage Teams action is not available on premises
